Desert creature

I’ve had like zero energy lately and it realllly suuucks.

So this big guy isn’t actually in his final colors, these are just my base colors I put down so I can see what I’m doing.  They don’t have anything to do with my final colors.  His feet are my favorite part but I don’t really feel like putting his main colors down.  If I do end up doing it I’ll replace this image.  His real colors will probably come later with another drawing.  I’m trying to push myself out of my comfort zone which is REALLY HARD, it’s rewarding but it’s also murdering me since sometimes my mind goes into I HATE ALL OFTHISSS..I’m trying though because I’m determined.  There’s so many things I want to try which I haven’t before so it’s a struggle but I’m TRYING AH.  I really like how he came out but I’m also going mmm SO CONCEPT WOO.

I wanted to draw some kind of giant desert creature that’s used for travel that are tank like and based sorta on rhinos and..uh beetles I guess .

In the final coloring of this you wouldn’t see the back wings as see through.  They would have been solid since that’s actually the covering before the wings come out.  The wings themselves would be see through.  I just wanted to show off his stubby tail.

Also multiple arms because why the hell not.

Anything dark gray represent armor and what have you, except the dots which are his eyes.  Anything reddish is the leathery tough skin.

I have a tiny sketch of one hovering so I can figure out how I want the wings to work.  The idea is the armor is kind of segmented.  So the armor that’s over the wings covering can lift up like a loose shell.  The wing armor comes up and the actual wings come out.  They don’t use their wings to fly because of their weight/uncovering their skin (even if it’s tough) they use it to cause sandstorms.

I love my mounts and creatures stupidly huge so this guy towers over human and human like creatures.  Cit’s male counterpart uses one of these guys while Cit has a Pooka like horse creature (only horse she would ever trust, horses make her go mmMMMM..being a unicorn).  Since her male counter part is alien like of course he goes for some kind of deserty alien looking thing that walks in his desert.

This guy and his species resides with meee.  No name for the species yet.
